Today we were treated to an unusual 75 degree day here in Cleveland, Ohio, and the battery went back into the Savage for a little ride out into the countryside. Thanks, Witch Doctor, for the tip about the HD battery. I'll look into it this summer, as putting this one in and out is a pain in the rear. As expected, she fired right up on the first poke of the starter button. So far, the Savage has proven about as reliable as the proverbial brick. My brother wishes he could say that about his $21K full-dress hog. I just love this little bike. It's a far-cry from my last mount (a Honda 400 Four), and it doesn't scare me with unexpected wheelies in the middle or corners. At age 46, I guess I'm slowing down a bit, but being back in the saddle is more important.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for your comaradrie and insights. I feel like I'm among friends. Sometimes I feel like if I don't have an HD, I'm wierd, but here I feel comfortable.

Have fun and ride safe.
